I flew over to Queenstown to show the Kiwi's how the Techshot Batting Trainer works, with a critical review from Kyle Mills and Scott Styris. The former Test Legends thought that it was a great tool to keep you aware of your front elbow which is a fundamental skill required to hit the ball late.

I flew over to Queenstown to show the Kiwi’s how the Techshot Batting Trainer works, with a critical review from Kyle Mills and Scott Styris. The former Test Legends thought that it was a great tool to keep you aware of your front elbow which is a fundamental skill required to hit the ball late. They weren’t so convinced about how it helps you to hit the ball late.

I’m not so sure that they understood the concept fully, and if there are any of you still questioning….please read on!!

The resistance band is there to tell you when you are extending your arm. It’s designed to make you re-set your elbow position when you are striking the ball, so that it is bent on impact. If you are hitting the ball and NOT feeling any resistance, you are mastering the concept, and will most definitely be hitting the ball late and next to your front pad.
